The Clinical Workflow Analyst will play a pivotal role in developing short- and medium-term workflow strategies for Tulane Gastroenterology (GI). This position requires a systems-oriented approach to enhance operational efficiencies, specifically focusing on maximizing operating room (OR) block time. The ideal candidate will analyze current workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative solutions that streamline processes. Responsibilities include collaborating with clinical teams, utilizing data analytics to inform decisions, and implementing best practices to improve patient throughput and resource allocation. The goal is to create a sustainable model that not only optimizes OR usage but also enhances overall departmental performance.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with emphasis on spreadsheet and database applications.
- Highly detailed and organized.
- Excellent analytical skills required.
- Ability to build and analyze workflow processes in Epic software.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate significant projects.
Required Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, business management, systems engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in workflow design, process improvement, or operational management within a healthcare setting.
- Epic training, certified analyst.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA) or Business Administration (MBA) is preferred for advanced understanding of healthcare systems.
Compensation Information
